Privacy Policy

• Team accounts. Kintsugi Studio is a login-only platform for Kintsugi Heroes staff and volunteers. When we set up an account for you, we hold your name, email address, role, and a record of your activity in the platform. Sign-in is by email magic link; we do not store passwords.
• Production records. The platform holds the operational information needed to produce and publish an episode, including guest and hero consent records, scheduling details, and drafts of episode content.
• Public page visitors. Browsing our public pages (including this one) does not require an account. We use standard web analytics to understand general usage, such as pages viewed and approximate location and device type.
• Guest and hero review links. A hero or guest we are working with may be sent a private, single-purpose link to review content about their own episode. That link does not require creating an account, and we only use it to give that person visibility of their own material.

• To operate, maintain and secure the Kintsugi Studio platform.
• To produce, schedule and publish Kintsugi Heroes episodes and related content across podcast and social platforms.
• To communicate with team members, and with guests or heroes about their own episode.
• To understand and improve how our public pages are used.
• To meet our legal, safety and duty-of-care obligations.

We rely on established third-party service providers to run Kintsugi Studio. Each one only receives the information it needs to perform its function, and each is bound by its own privacy and security terms. These include:

• Hosting, database and authentication infrastructure.
• AI-assisted drafting tools, used to help prepare episode content for human review.
• Transcription and image-processing tools used in episode production.
• Video, podcast and social publishing platforms, used to distribute episodes.
• Web and social analytics tools, used to measure how content performs.
• Email delivery, used for account and production notifications.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it beyond these providers except where required by law.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in to Kintsugi Studio and to remember basic preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

We keep information for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. A departing team member's account access is removed; production records are retained as part of Kintsugi Heroes' ongoing archive of its own episodes.

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information in our care, including encrypted connections, access controls limited to authorised team members, and consent gates on how a guest or hero's story can be used. You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to any legal or safety reason we may need to keep it. Contact us using the details below.

Kintsugi Studio is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Kintsugi Heroes is based in Australia. Some of the service providers listed above process information on servers located outside Australia. Where that happens, those providers apply their own safeguards to protect it.

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
